Incident and Initial Consultation: Babu Lal experienced an eye injury when small debris from a building struck his eye. Concerned about his vision, he first visited a vision centre and was connected directly with a doctor through a video consultation. Based on the evaluation, he was referred to a higher medical centre for advanced care.
Emergency Admission and Surgical Procedure: Upon arrival at our hospital as an emergency case, a thorough examination was conducted, where Babu Lal was diagnosed with a corneal tear which required immediate intervention. The medical team planned and performed corneal tear repair and anterior vitrectomy on the same day.
Post-Surgery Recovery and Outcome: The surgery was successful and Babu Lal’s visual acuity improved significantly post-operation. His recovery process was smooth following a full response to the treatment.
Patient Experience: Babu Lal and his family expressed their satisfaction with the entire process, from the initial consultation at the vision centre to the emergency treatment at the hospital. They appreciated the prompt diagnosis, timely referral and excellent surgical care provided by the medical team.
